The Vision
“The vision of Edgewood Church is to join God in seeking God’s dream for individuals, our community and the world.”
Identity Objective: To be a church that views itself as followers of Jesus, a servant community, and heralds of the Good News of the dream of God for individuals and the world. Missional Objective: To be a church that promotes the reconciliation of people to each other and people to God and the holistic redemption of our world. Diversity Objective: To be a church that affirms the witness of God through the lives of all people regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, economic status, education, etc. Worship Objective: To be a church that treats community worship as a holy and experiential meeting of the human and the divine, honoring people’s desire to connect with God and God’s desire to connect with people. Equipping Objective: To be a church that equips people for the ministry of the Good News, viewing the pastoral ministry as supporters of the laity’s ministry instead of viewing the laity as spectators of the pastors’ ministry.
